Rescue groups are a great place to adopt your next pet. Rescue groups get many of their pets from local high-kill shelters and care for these pets in volunteer homes or small shelters until they are adopted. Several rescue groups specialize in specific breeds while others have beautiful mixed breeds available. One of the benefits of getting your next pet from a rescue group is that they will be able to tell you a great deal about the habits and personalities of the pets in their care and often their adoption fee includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, micro-chipping and other great services.
