On-Leash Dog Parks

 
Barton Creek Greenbelt Preserve, 3755 B Capital of Texas Hwy, Austin, Texas, (512) 472-1267. Offers 7 miles of walking, hiking and mountain biking trails.
 
Berry Springs Park, Georgetown, Heading north on I-35 from Austin, take the Williams Drive (2338) exit in Georgetown and head east. Turn left on N Austin (418) and then right onto FM 971. Turn left onto CR-152 and continue on the path even after the hard right turn in the road. After crossing Berry Creek, look for the park entrance on the left. A stonework sign (in the shape of a lime kiln no less) marks the entrance. Map
 
Bob Wentz Park, Bob Wentz Park Road Austin, Texas, (512) 854-9020, This 211 acre park is located in the basin area of Lake Travis in the scenic Hill Country of central Texas. Map
 
Brushy Creek Lake Park, Cedar Park, From RR 620, heading north towards Round Rock, turn left on Parmer Lane and head northwest. Turn right on Brushy Creek Road and look for the park entrance on the right. Map
 
Brushy Creek Regional Trail, From IH-35 in Round Rock, head west on RR 620. Turn right onto Great Oaks Drive. At the intersection of Great Oaks and Brushy Creek Road park in the spaces available in the southwest corner. Map
 
Circle C Ranch Metropolitan Park, On MoPac head south and take the Slaughter Lane exit and head west. Look for a parking area on the left after passing Escarpment Blvd. Slaughter Creek flows parallel to Slaughter Lane on the left and the parking area is on the opposite side of the creek from the main road. Map
 
Inks Lake State Park, From Austin head north west on Highway 183. Turn left and head west on Highway 29. Turn left on Park Road 4 and proceed south for about 3 miles to the Inks Lake State Park headquarters. Map
 
McKinney Falls, Head south on Hwy 183, past Hwy 290, the Colorado River and Hwy 71. After passing Hwy 71 Austin Bergstrom Airport should be on your left. Be on the lookout for McKinney Falls Parkway on the right. There is a brown state park sign that also marks the turn. McKinney Falls is about 3 miles from that turn on the right. Map
 
Northeast Metropolitan Park, Pflugerville, From I-35, head east on FM 1825 and continue through Pflugerville. The road turns into Pecan Road and narrows. The park entrance is on the right in about 5.5 miles. Map
 
Old Settlers Park, Round Rock, From I-35 in Round Rock head west on Hwy. 79. After about 4 miles, turn left onto Harrell Parkway. There will be a sign indicating that it's the entrance to Old Settler's Park and you can use Dell Diamond as a landmark to tell you when to turn. Map
 
Pace Bend Park, RR 2322, 11 miles West of Hwy 71 and 620, (512) 264-1482 Entire park is off-leash as long as your dog is under your control - large park and a great place for dogs to swim, Map
 
Southeast Metropolitan Park, From IH-35 in Austin head east on Highway 71. Go past Austin Bergstrom International Airport and look for park on the left in about two of miles. There are signs along Hwy 71. When entering the park following the signs indicating a hiking trail by veering to the right and following the road all the way back to the trailhead. Map
 
Spicewood Valley Trail, From Hwy 183 in northwest Austin head south on Spicewood Springs Road. Turn right onto Scotland Well Drive and continue north. Turn right onto Middlebie Drive and look for the parking area. Map
 
St. Edwards Park, The park resides on the north side of Bull Creek between the creek and Spicewood Springs Road. From Hwy 360, take Spicewood Springs west for about two miles. Be on the lookout on the left for a small parking area to the left with a white mailbox. At this spot there is parking for at most 4-5 cars parked parallel to the road. Map
 
Upper Barton Creek, From south MoPac, take the Loop 360 exit and head west. Turn left at the light at the intersection of 360 and Scottish Woods Trail. The road on the other side of 360 from Scottish Woods Trail is called Westlake High. Drive down Scottish Woods Trail until you get to a 'T' section in the road. Park along the road on Scottish Woods Trail because the other roads in the are much narrower. The entrance to the Barton Creek Greenbelt is just to the right of the 'T' intersection of Scottish Woods Trail and Camp Craft Road. Map
 
Williamson County Regional Park, From I-35 head west on Parmer Road. Turn right onto FM 1431 and then left on CR 175. Look for the park on the right and turn right onto Perry Mayfield Blvd. to get into the park proper. The first parking area on the right is the trailhead. Map
